Can I create a Photoshop art and print them that it would be big enough as a wall art?

Question by swtsarina: Can I create a Photoshop art and print them that it would be big enough as a wall art?
Can I create a Photoshop art and print them that it would be big enough as a wall art? And not necessarily using digital photos, but creating art from scratch.
Would the quality be good? Any sites that show me how to keep the quality good?
Correction – creating art from scratch. Therefore, eliminating distortions. Will it print in good quality for a big wall art?

Answer by djwhite828
It depends on how big you want to make the art. If you go to edit and then ‘canvas size’ before you even start the art the proportions should be correct, if its something you’ve already done you can edit the image size, but that could distort the picture some.
as for websites, try using the help that comes with Photoshop, that might be able to tell you how to do it.

Where can i download a free program to convert raster images to vector images like Illustrator Live Trace?

Question by Essennelle: Where can i download a free program to convert raster images to vector images like Illustrator Live Trace?
I want to convert very blurry color photographs or colorful drawings to sharp simplified images. I tried using a free trial of Elgorithms Magic Tracer but it only turned my image into a black and white outline. My computer won’t let me download the free trial of illustrator so i cant use live trace or live paint, but is there an alternative EASY to use program?

How to get the Photoshop Plugins on Gimp?

Question by Cowboy: How to get the Photoshop Plugins on Gimp?
I’ve recently had photoshop, but on my old computer. It broke. And now I don’t have it anymore. Now I got a new computer and I got gimp and I like it but the only thing I miss is the effects like drop shadow, inner glow, etc. I’ve tried downloading some pspi files but they keep coming with a dll error so I can’t download them.

Is there a solution to this?

How do I get exact sized images in PowerPoint when saving as a .png in Illustrator?

Question by ykarnay: How do I get exact sized images in PowerPoint when saving as a .png in Illustrator?
I must have all the images created in Illustrated the same size, saved for a PowerPoint presentation as a .png. The problem is that in Illustrator, all the images are one size and when imported into PowerPoint, the images are 2 times smaller. What am I doing wrong?

Answer by John R
It probably has to do with the pixels per inch resolution. I would make sure you are exporting your PNG images for screen resolution at 72 ppi. If they come in half-size, then export at 150 ppi. You can set this in the export dialog box in Illustrator. I think they have three default settings:
Screen/Low – 72 ppi
Medium – 150 ppi
Print/High – 300 ppi
